Dr Hartman was excellent with my almost 14 yo Shihtzu. She took her time examining her and was sure to answer my many questions! My dog has major anxiety but for the first time she seemed more calm than any other time at the vet.

Desert Veterinary Clinic is our choice since they were the only ones open when we woke up on a Sunday morning in 2017 to our Boxer dying. They helped us through the process and were so amazing. Since then, we now have two male Rottweilers we’ve taken to them. Both have been well taken care of by the professionals at Desert Veterinary Clinic from 8 weeks until now, ages 5 and 2. I highly recommend them over any other place in the area.

We LOVE Dr. Haugo. She has seen all of our fur babies. We started our border collie at another vet as a pup and their vet tech traumatized her during a nail trim. We went back a couple more times and they said she was a “bad dog” and needed to be sedated to be seen.
We decided to try moving her over to DVC with our other babies. Doc saw her today and took her time with her-getting on the floor with her, doing obedience with her, and walking her around the clinic (all with Piper’s favorite-chicken). Doc made her experience so much better and has given her meds to help with her anxieties. Thank you to her and all of the other people working today who were so sweet with my baby girl.

No other place in Yuma I’d rather bring my dog. Great staff and explain everything and handle my dog just like if he was theirs. I have 100+ pound Rottweiler and he loves everybody there for a reason. 10/10

Dr. Haugo is skilled, intuitive, modest, caring and incredibly smart. She’s responsible about referring to larger hospitals in other larger cities if treatment is needed, but also has the skills to do open heart surgery! She knows my animals better than any doctor knows my family.
